Hi everyone,
I wanted to let you know that I'll be presenting on eLua again this week at ESC Minneapolis. If you're at the conference, drop me a line.

James Snyder | Board Member and Core Developer, eLua Project
Date: Thursday, November 5
Time: 3:30pm - 4:15pm
Session Type: 45-Minute Technical Session
Track: Embedded Software Design
Audience Level: All
The Embedded Lua (eLua) project brings Lua, a high-level dynamic language and self-hosted
development environment, to bare metal embedded hardware environments. We will provide an
introduction to this permissively licensed open source project, a comparison with other available
environments, details on how it can be integrated into prototyping and end-user customization contexts,
lessons learned from real projects, and a live demonstration of using the project to accomplish a task.
TAKEAWAY
Attendees will learn about the benefits and tradeoffs of eLua and other dynamic language environments,
how they can get the project running on widely available and inexpensive development kits, and how they
can integrate eLua into upcoming plans.
INTENDED AUDIENCE
The intended audience includes existing or aspiring embedded developers who wish to use an interactive
high level language for rapid application development or wish to provide such an environment to end users
or integrators. Some background in programming and embedded development is helpful but not
required.
