I was building elua for avr32, just as an exercise before I start to add at32uc3a1512, and i have an error reported about stubs.c in newlib.Looking at the source seems that the change on avr32 toolchain make unecessary this section in stubs.c:

//int _gettimeofday_r( struct _reent *r, struct timeval *tp, struct timezone *tzp )

int _gettimeofday_r( struct _reent *r, struct timeval *tv, void *tz )

Like you see I just comment some code and all goes well.
